Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Expertland LLC, a Nevada limited liability company ("Expertland", "we", "us"), collects when you use expertland.app (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information. If you sign in, we store your email address and (for Google sign-in) your Google account identifier.
• Chat content. Messages you send to experts and the replies they generate are stored so you can revisit your chats and so we can improve the Service.
• Device identifier. For users without an account, we generate a random device ID stored locally in your browser to enable rate limiting and to associate your chats with your device.
• Usage data. Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) used for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate analytics.

How we use information

• To provide and operate the Service (delivering AI replies, saving your chats, showing your history).
• To prevent abuse and enforce rate limits.
• To improve experts, prompts, and product quality.
• To communicate with you about your account or material changes to the Service.

Third-party services

• Backend infrastructure. We use a managed cloud backend (database, authentication, file storage, serverless functions) to operate the Service. Your account data and chats are stored there.
• AI providers. Messages are sent to third-party AI model providers (such as Google and OpenAI) via our AI gateway in order to generate replies. Providers process the messages under their own privacy terms.
• Google AdSense. We may display ads on the Service via Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at google.com/settings/ads, or visit aboutads.info to learn more.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, store an anonymous device identifier, and (where applicable) to support advertising. You can clear these via your browser at any time; doing so may sign you out and reset your anonymous chats.

Your choices and rights

• Delete your account at any time from your account page. This permanently removes your account, profile, chats, messages, favorites, and any suggestions you've submitted. You can also email us if you'd prefer we do it for you.
• You can opt out of personalized ads via the Google links above.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (see the regional sections below). Contact us to exercise them.

EU / UK / EEA / Switzerland (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Expertland LLC is the controller of your personal data. Our legal bases for processing are: (a) performance of a contractwhen we provide the Service to you (delivering AI replies, saving your chats); (b) legitimate interestsin operating, securing, and improving the Service and preventing abuse; and (c) consent where required (for example, certain advertising cookies).

You have the right to:

• Access, rectify, or erase your personal data.
• Restrict or object to processing, including objecting to processing based on legitimate interests.
• Receive your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

To exercise these rights, email us at the address below or use the in-app account deletion. We have not appointed an Article 27 EU representative at this time; if this changes we will update this page.

California (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information we collect and how we use it; request access to or deletion of your personal information; correct inaccurate personal information; and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of certain targeted advertising.

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of Google AdSense for personalized advertising may qualify as "sharing" under California law. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time via google.com/settings/ads and via the industry tools at aboutads.info/choices. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

International data transfers

Expertland is operated from the United States, and our service providers may process your data in the United States and other countries. Where required (for example, transfers from the EEA / UK / Switzerland), we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms.

Children

Expertland is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention and security

We retain account data and chats for as long as your account is active or as needed to operate the Service. We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
